I would like to fill some mini kegs from my corny kegs. Do I need a racking cane to do this or can I just use my tap? Also what psi should I be doing this at? This will be from a forced carb corny keg.

You can fill it via the liquid out post on the mini keg if you want. I purge all the air out of the keg I am transferring to and only use like 3-4 psi to push it from the original.

I've got some Virgils root beer kegs, they have a bung on top.

If they don't have a co2 input and a way to get the soda out, it'll go flat when you open it (as well as when you fill it). If you fill one just for the day, just like when you open a bottle of soda it will stay carbonated for the day or so.

no co2 input, just a vent on top and a pull out tap on bottom. It seemed to hold its carb for a week or longer with the original root beer that came in the keg.
