Hi, I live in the Bay of Islands, in the Far North of NZ's north island. Home brewing is something I have wanted to do for ages, the Missus has fought against it but I finally wore her down. Am getting my first starter kit on Christmas Day, a Mangrove Jack's starter kit with 30 PET bottles and a Pale Ale can.
Am originally from England and have always liked the real ales, or anything that has a bit of flavour to it. Am not a fan of lager that tastes of nothing because it's cold enough to make your fillings hurt.
My favourite ales back in England were "Hobgoblin" and "Betty Stogg's", if anyone who knows of them knows how to brew something similar in a 30 litre fermenter I'll be your friend for life.
