So I am a college student with very limited disposable income and I am trying to do this pretty cheap. My house will sit at around 60 and dip below a bit when nobody is home I am trying to boost the temperature of my fermentation closet to around 70 and I was wondering if anybody had any ideas on how to do this.

Also...you want your fermentation closet closer to 60-65 for ambient temp. Fermentation inside the bucket will be about 3-5 degrees higher generally.

Very true. 60 ambient is actually a good spot for most ales.
