Any idea on the best way to go about removing all the foam so I can replace the beer lines?

inside the tower there is the following, from center to outside
2 beer lines, 2 copper lines (assume for keeping the beer lines cold)
These are thoroughly wrapped in duct tape, for whatever reason
a tube of black insulating foam
spray foam, yellow, which seems to be adhering to the black foam tube and the walls of the tower.

So apart from getting a drill and just going to town on it and trying to stay away from the walls and the copper lines, anyone have any ideas?

I won't advise it, but in my experience there are all kinds of solvents that will liquify foam, you just need to figure out which one works best on the specific foam.

I've used acetone, paint thinner, brake fluid, methyl-alcohol - and even Gum-Out carburetor cleaner. One of them usually works, but you do end up with a nasty fuming mess to resolve...

Cheers!

Thanks for the tip. Sounds like it'll help, but might make a bigger mess. I think I'm just going to drill and scrap the foam out till I can pull the beer lines thorough and detach the nut on the back of the faucets.

Yeah, I think that's the better part of valor in this case - something that's going to be close to a point of consumption.

Cheers - and good luck with it
