Hi all, I've just recently joined your fantastic world of home brewing. I've been prowling around these boards for a while now (2 weeks), and signed up to give a big thanks to someone who pointed me in the direction of free bottles in my area.
The reason I got into this hobby was due to a recent trip to San Diego. I went on a bunch of brewery tours -- Lost Abby/Port, Stone, Karl Strauss and Ballast Point. Needless to say those beers turned me into a craft beer fiend.
Right now I've got a tub o' amber ale fermenting (1st batch ever) and these forums have been a great resource in keeping me sane. So far every fear I've had has been answered without my even having to ask.
