I will be bottling a pale ale in 3 days...I was thinking of dying some beer green for St. Pats day. Would that effect anything? Has anybody tried to dye their beer?

Scroll to the bottom of the screen in this thread and you will see many threads listed that discuss this. Its a very common thread. Goodluck. Add blue dye to make green.

Be sure you're going to drink it all, unless you want to be drinking green beer in May.

Otherwise, just add drops to the beer when serving.

Can't I add a drop or 2 to each individual bottle? I was hoping to only make a 12 pack of green beer.

I will take the advise on using blue dye. Thanks for that. I would have screwed that up.

Wear a green shirt or green underwear or whatever but dying your beer green is just inviting ridicule and Saint Patrick will personally strike your name from the Book of Life.
