Well,
I learned that if you order grain from Adventures in Homebrewing and select unmilled grains in checkout (they default to milling it for you), and then add another item it resets your unmilled to milled selection and they will ship you milled grains! I probably should of rechecked the form, but all my other information was there and I missed that the pull down for "cracked" grains changed. They are not at all interested in replacing it, in fact they told me that "in fact most breweries buy only pre cracked grain". I now have a 10lbs of Vienna and 10lbs of 40L I was planning on using a pound at a time over at least a year. I don't think it will keep that long milled, and the crush looks kind of crappy. Now that I'm stuck with it (and payed for it!), does anyone have an interesting beer idea that I could use it up quickly? I have bags of 2-row, marris otter, munch and wheat, I have a ton of yeast banked and a freezer full of hops. I was thinking I could make a Vienna Lager, but I'd like to see if anyone has any interesting ideas.
