Gotta Ask Before I wire this Pump Up

I'm using a converter to power a 12v pump and have a Pulse Width Modulator (PWM) to control the speed of the pump.
I want to add a toggle switch into the line. It's a simple On/Off - 2 wire lead switch.
Am I only adding this into the Positive line to "break" the power?

Converter positive and negative to the PWM only breaking the positive side with the switch?
Then the PWM to the pump positive and negative.

An SPST switch on either lead at the motor should be all it takes with a DC pump...

I'm putting it before the PWM which is before the motor.
I will assume the same results.
But you answered the base question.
Break either line.
