In the last several days I've been corrected on how to pronounce 'GOSE'. Long O, short O (ah sound), two syllable with a hard E... What's the consensus here on the forum?

It's "Goh - suh" (as in the "go" of "go to the store" and the "suh" of "Sunday").

There's no "consensus" since that's the way it's pronounced. It's a German word, originating from the town where it started: Goslar, Germany.

I have heard people pronounce it as "Gohz" (like "she goes crazy"), but that's incorrect. It's probably the most common way it's pronounced in English, though.

In ACTUAL German, it sounds kind of like "Goh-zuh" though. The "s" has an almost "z" like sound.
