So a lot of folks use kegs as brew kettles on here and YouTube but I've had a helluva time finding one.
Suffice it to say, a quick call to a scrap yard and I've found one I'll be getting Friday for 30 bucks! A 15.5 gallon brew kettle for 30 bucks?!? Hells yes!
So of course I've got all these fancy plans for it, using it as my heater for my strike water as well as filling my hlt, and brewing in. Eventually going to put a ball valve on it. Will probably do that prior to any actual brewing in it for simplicity.
Anyways, pretty stoked about it and for those looking to get one, I suggest contacting your local scrap yard. I tried calling all my local breweries and short of being told to piss off they couldn't help me so there ya have it.
Anyways, just relishing in the moment and excited to get it.
