Ill be adding strawberries to a blonde ale this weekend. It's my first attempt at adding fruit to beer and was wondering if I treat it the exact same as dry hopping. I know about freezing them and stuff but should I put them loosely in a muslin bag or anything? I'm assuming it doesn't matter, I just want to make sure that the small amount of flavoring and aroma from the strawberries will not be affected by having them all bunched up in a muslin bag.
 
I did a blueberry wheat and used 5 pounds of smashed blueberries. The taste was just slightly under what I was shooting for so next time I might do 6 or 7.
