frozen keg=nohead?

I accidentally froze a couple kegs in my keezer. Real idiot move - cleaned out the keezer, and replaced everything except the thermostat bulb, which was happily hanging on the outside for 24 hours...
Anyway, after I got everything back up to temp and thawed, I had no head on my IPAs. they were beautiful before the big freeze. Can freezing beer ruin the head retention?

I froze half a cornie let it thaw, no problem. My kegerator is a Sanyo, gets real cold at the bottom.
