For some reason I forgot to filter my tap water for my first batch the other day. The filter is strictly for chlorine. I brewed a LHB Milk Stout clone, and I did dilute the water w/30% distilled. Am I screwed, or does chlorine sometimes spare a guy?

tons of guys here don't mess with removing chlorine. I do but others don't.

it could have a slight off flavor...but I bet its fine.

If it hasn't developed a bandaid flavor/aroma in the first 4 days, you probably dodged the bullet.

I think that chlorine is more of a problem when you dump hot wort into tap water. When you heat up your mash water most of the chlorine will be driven off, its not increadibly stable in solution.

Maybe your water chemistry could affect the development of chlorophenols too, but I have made beers with the tap water in 4 different cities and don't taste any band-aids.
