My wife asked me to create a beer she would like*. She likes light beers and fruity beers. I want to experiment around with some flavors she might like, so this is the setup:
1) I'm thinking about using Extra light DME, to have a consistent base wort. I believe 1 packet mixes with 1 gallon of water.(http://www.midwestsupplies.com/munton-and-fison-uk-extra-light-dme.html).
2) I'll hop, (initially in small amounts), as necessary. For now Im thinking of starting out with 1oz of Cascade pellets
3) I'll primary ferment in my bucket
4) I'll separate into 2L soda bottles as secondarys.
5) In the soda bottles I'll add various flavorings (orange, lemon, mango, others I haven't thought of)
6) The pain will be bottling these individual batches into bottles.
7) If a flavoring doesn't work out, I won't feel too bad about ditching 2L of beer
I'm looking for some thoughts/criticism/lessons learned.
TIA!
*No... its not for me, its actually for my wife!
