Hi everyone,

I am going to be taking a step back in my brewing hardware and roll out the old cooler mash tun for a smaller than my usual batch.

Long story short, I grew my own hops this year and did not yield as much as I hoped for so I'm planning on doing a smaller 10g batch instead of the usual half-barrel.

Wondering if anyone with similar size conical fermenter has had any issues with the sheer amount of headspace left over with only filling it to 11-12 gallons? I know that once fermentation gets going and CO2 will fill it in - I am more concerned with the times I open it to add the dry hops etc. I really want to capture as much of the aroma as I can from these homegrown hops.

Any feedback much appreciated!
