Did you move the fermenter?

Ive thought it was done before, moved it and shock, started bubbling again, but was just trapped C02 in hte beer being released when I knocked it around.

If in doubt break out the Turkey baster. Hydrometer reading required.

it would be strange if had stopped fermenting, and a month is a long time, then started again.

My money is on C02 release, still, take a reading.

Edit:

ok I can actually see your picture now, wow?

Kinda like a head rather than a krauzen? intresting.

Take a hydrometer reading... Give it a few days and take another hydrometer reading... If they match, and are in line with what was expected (+/- the margin of error) then it should be safe to bottle... I would taste the sample before actually bottling... If there are no off flavors, then go for it...

So I put the fermenter in the beer fridge. Theory being if it's CO2 release then if I dropped the temperature of the beer then it would absorb the CO2 and the foam would go down. We'll see what happens....
