What would you suggest? Maybe doubling it to 3lbs? This would be the first time adding fruit to a beer I brewed. I was hoping to also take away some of the Blackberry flavor from the hops.

closer to 9lbs of fresh fruit/berries = 1 - 3.3 lb can of vintners harvest.

My LHBS has a can of that 3.3lbs, you think that'll be good for 5lbs? Using 1 can?

How well do you think the recipe will blend with the hops?

Sorry my sister was having surgery. What I have found out is 1 pound of fruit per gallon. I have used the vintners harvest with good result also. Recently did a American Wheat and split the batch. Bottled half and added two pounds of peaches to the other after..(I just wanted to see if I could add less) I should have stuck to the 1 lb per gallon rule. The peach favor was very weak.
