Brewers, I just purchased a 25 gallon boil kettle and want to use my bayou classic 20 gallon kettle as my new mash tun. My question: Can I use my false bottom from my sanke keggle in the new 25 gallon brew pot. The false bottom I used on the sanke will be about 15 inches in diameter and the new brew kettle is 18 inches in diameter. The sanke fb is in great shape, but doesn't cover the whole bottom of the brew pot
Thanks brewers...Simie

Dude, pic please. If you have a 25 gallon kettle I wanna see it!

I'd say nay on the small bottom (lol). Hops will get by for sure. Maybe a bazooka tube would work and be much cheaper than a new FB.

Our twenty gallon was a bit short during hot break and the sanke mash tun was a bit too small on some our IPA's.
