I am going to be bottling some of this today. My question is my wife does not like carbonated beverages so can I just bottle it without adding any sugar and have it turn out fine? I plan on doing half without carbonation and half with. How much corn sugar would I add for 2 1/2 gallons that I want to carbonate, 1/2 pound? Thanks for your help.
 
You would need to degas the portion you don't want to be carbonated, at least thats what I always do for still ciders\fruit wines because its usually slightly carbonated just from sitting in the carboy.

1/2 lb would be way to much dextrose IMO to carbonate 2.5 gallons. I generally use 5-6 ounces for a 5 gallon batch. So I would suggest about 2.5-3 ounces of dextrose to carbonate.
