Hello all. I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. So i just ordered the 6.5 gallon Anvil foundry yesterday from northern brewer. It will be here some time next week. I will be using it for 5 gallon extract batches. I want to add the LME in to the mash pipe, & mix it in like that so the LME does not touch the bottom of the foundry. (If i can do that) Also do i have to turn off the foundry ( like i normally would on my stove) to avoid scorching? This will be my first time using an electric kettle, so i really don't know anything about it. Thank you in advance for any help provided.
