Don't get me, wrong I think SMaSH beers can be great, I just brewed one up this weekend. Sometimes though a single malt and single hop can just be to simple and limiting in terms of the styles you can brew. However, allowing yourself 2 malts and 2 hops opens you up to a whole slew of new opportunities without being as complicated and possibly tasting better than a brew with 10 different malts and 6 different hop additions. So does anyone have a good recipe with only two malts and 2 hops. Please post 5 gallon recipes because that's what the majority of people brew and it can easily be doubled for a 10 gallon batch if someone wants.
I'll start it of with a standard West Coast style American Pale Ale.
