Recently purchased an RO filter. Not used it yet but am wondering if I fill some 1 gallon plastic jugs with it and leave them unused for a while does it change anything? Does it stay RO water permanently or can it somehow absorb particles over time
Pardon my complete lack of chemistry knowledge

It will absorb gases from the atmosphere, so basically O2 and CO2 and a little bit of nitrogen, but no solids unless the container you put it in were to leach chemicals into the water, which is hopefully not the case.
