I'm looking at changing over to john guest fittings, these two: (ffl and BSP)
http://www.ritebrew.com/SearchResults.asp?Extensive_Search=Y&Search=john&Submit.x=0&Submit.y=0

the ffl and the shank.

Simple question, do those swivel?

Also, those two fittings clearly have a different sized opening for the 5/16" tube.. I assume they both work for the same size hose? I want to go from keg (mfl qd) to shank, so it appears I need one of each of these for each faucet.

I would have to check mine tonight, but if I remember correctly, the tubing does turn in the fitting, and the 90 deg will turn in the straight connector without leaking. I don't think the actual connector swivels.

Ignore the pictures.
Those listed at Ritebrew are the correct fittings for the 5/16" OD BevSeal Ultra tubing. Depending on how many you need, FreshWaterSystems.com sells them by the 10-pack.

I saw that, I just need 6 pairs (mfl and shank thread). If tube swivels in the fitting, that's perfect. I hate trying to thread on a fitting when a hose is attached and it doesn't swivel. Are these things easy to pop out? I know you just push that little collet collar in.. is that easy to do with fat fingers/no finger nails?

I can't find these at any local place.. I would love to just buy one set and try it out, but I guess I'll have faith in it. Lots of happy users on here it seems.

I know that I have moved mine without loosening the connector. Yes, it's pretty easy to pull the tubing out by pressing in on the connector, I just added the 90 deg angles to mine a few weeks ago to move the tubing storage from the tops of the kegs to the sides of the kegs.

Thanks for info. While I have some of you here, do you know if there is a difference between

I'm going to run my lines from shank (using a 90 JG fitting), along front wall of collar in keezer, then continue along side wall and back wall before looping any slack and connecting to the 4 kegs along the back of keezer. I'm wondering how tight I'll be able to make that bend, or if I even need the 90 JG fittings in the first place.

Also, a 5/16" JG fitting will fit any hose that is 5/16" od right? Doesn't have to be any sort of bev seal or special stuff?

I used the Bev seal ultra tubing on mine, so I can't comment on the other type. My only complaint is that it is very stiff, it's tough to coil it up. You definitely need something to hold it together like zip ties, Velcro strips, or the like. You have to use this type of tubing (stiff)
with the JG fittings, I don't think something soft would work as it would probably leak over time.

This is an old picture of how the tubing was before the 90 deg fittings were put in. Now they lay along the sides of the kegs.

I'm hoping with my intertap FC faucets, I can shorten the hose to 5 or 6', which will mostly eliminate coiling.

Yes, any 5/16" OD tubing will fit.

Now BevSeal Ultra line is especially made for dispensing beverages (e.g., beer) and is therefore lined with a PET layer on the inside, which makes the line more impervious to O2, while providing a very smooth and slick surface that's easy to clean.

Those are the same product. Birdman's offerings do NOT have the color stripe as pictured, from what I understand.

You cannot make tight bends in that line. I'd say a 3-4" bending radius is about the lower limit. You can feel the resistance increasing when forcing it into tighter bends before it collapses (kinks).

Look at the picture @Konadog posted, that's the way most of us handle it. I have an upright freezer with taps in the door. The coils lie on top of the 5 kegs.

OK, if the tubing is using the straight connector, the tubing will twist in the fitting (tight) but it does turn. If you use the 90 deg fittings, the fittings freely twist in the straight connector. Using the 90's also gets all the tubing stowed over the hump now instead of over the kegs.
