Do I need to add a rope for the hops to grow on right away?

I want to get my hop plants in the ground as soon as possible but I haven't had time to explore options for the trellis or hop pole that I'll use. How quickly will these suckers start growing to the point that they need the rope to grow on? Can I plant the hops and still have a few weeks to determine how I will support them?

Go ahead plant and plan. Dont really need to worry about climbing lins till the bines reach 2+ feet, and depending on conditions it could be 1-4 weeks before you really need to worry.
