I brewed an India brown on 11/18 with 2 packets of Nottingham yeast... I am about to move it into the second fermenter. I would like to try reusing the yeast cake... What steps should I take or have worked for you? I'm brewing a simple pale ale next ... Thanks!

In a normal fermentation you generally end up with 5x as much yeast as you started with.

Try searching on here, there are millions of threads about storing/reusing/pitching the right amount of yeast.
