Hello all,

I'm fairly new to brewing and I'm still getting my equipment together. I was wondering if anyone has tried making an immersion chiller but instead of using compression fittings for garden hose use, used push fittings. Any leaks? Any trouble from the fittings? Any help would be appreciated.

Happy brewing!

The only issue you'll have to deal with is sizing push fittings are sized to a standard OD measure where as copper tube runs smaller.

I think coppertubingsales.com has a chart somewhere on the site. The same rules should apply to push fittings as do for soldier fittings.

You can also get a scrap piece of tubing and test it on a few different fittings in your local big box store.
