DIY Beer Tap Handle

Well I'm making my first kegerator this weekend and I have all the parts. My next step to to start creating my own beer tap handles. What I was thinking about doing, since I'm such a huge Aliens fan (hence the name), I would like to take an old broken Aliens action figure I have, and turn it into a beer handle. Does anyone have any suggestions where to start? What is a good handle I can buy that is easy to customize?
