I haven't made any root beer in over 50 years and I'd like to try it again.

Looking at my LHBS and on Amazon there are some differences in both type and cost. Both have the 2 oz bottles of "original" extract that is quite expensive per ounce. Then there is McCormick's.. a bit less. And then there is Zatarains that you can get much cheaper if you buy a few bottles at once.

Have any of you compared the three (or more) different types? I'm leaning toward the Zatarains mainly because of cost.. but that's only if it makes good root beer.

What say ye all????

Well have tryed the and Zatarains is the best out of the bunch but if you want to make great root beer you should look at the Homemade Soda Company. They are the best extracts you will ever find.
