Let me know what you think. Trying Ahtanum hops in brew for first time. Cigar City uses them in their Jai Alai IPA and I love it. Thanks for any thoughts/suggestions!

5 gallon batch
3 gallon boil
5 1/2 lbs Briess Pilsen Lt DME. 3 lbs of that as late addition@ 15 min
1 lb Briess Caramel 40L. Steeped 20 mins

Fwh .50 oz Ahtanum
60 min .50 oz Centennial
20 min .50 oz Ahtanum
20 min .50 oz Centennial
5 min .50 oz Cascade
dryhop 1 oz Cascade

Safale US05
Whirlfloc tablet 15min

Color 7 SRM
IBU 36.1

Looks delish! Just had ahtanum for the first time in sam adams latitude deconstructed...awesome hop. I assume you meant 0.50 oz for fwh?

I use a little vienna in mine (1 lb), brings a little malt to the table..love it

Whats your steep temp, btw?

Yours looks pretty good as-is for sure! :mug:
 
Yeah, .50 on the fwh...lol. Usually heat water to about 155 or so for steeping then remove from heat and let sit for 20-30 mins.

Hmmm...maybe 1/2 lb Vienna added to it.
