LHBS did not have Crystal 10 in stock, so I picked up some CaraPils in place of it. I'm pretty sure the two are comparable, but wanted to check before I begin.

Thanks.

Yeah, CaraPils is much lighter at ~2L and it's not sweet like regular crystal. Use German CaraHell if they carry it.

The recipe has C-20 and C-10? That's kinda dumb cuz they ain't all that much different. 20 is more honey sweet, 10L is sugar sweet. Oh, yeah, there is the slight color difference.

Right- pretty much the exact same thing. A recipe having both is probably either a mistake, someone trying to use up what they have, or someone who doesn't formulate recipes very well.

(it wasn't me, was it? :drunk:)
