I am hoping to pressure can some run off of my next batch. Do I really need to boil the wort if I am using the pressure cooker? And if I used small mason jars can I just pour small mason jars into the flask to step the starter up at like 24 hr intervals? Thank you for your time.

I would want to boil for 5 minutes just to be on the safe side but I think technically it isn't necessary. Boiling will also provide the hot break you want to achieve so the trub doesn't end up in the mason jars.

If you don't boil, the hot break ends up in your jar-not really a problem, you can decant off of it. Next time I'm boiling though.
