Cooler Bulkhead Question

I have a standard 10 gallon igloo cooler for a mash tun. I want to cut a 1/2 in hole through the bullhead to attach a QD for recirc/rims and sparging. Wondering if there will be an issue drilling through the cooler wall for the fitting? Or is it just foam type insulation?
