Now showing in my primary fermenter....A Cookie Jar Beer. Its sort of a brown ale-ish porter-ish brew.

It is inspired by the Brooklyn Brewery Cookie Jar Porter but I'm aiming for a higher ABV and bitterness than a porter usually is and a reddish/brown hue..not a dark brew. I also wanted something that didn't share any ingredient with the chocoloate stout i'm brewing now.

5gal batch
OG: 1.100
Target ABV = ~10%
Target FG = ~1.025

Grains:
8# Maris Otter
3# Carared
3# Flaked Oats
1.5# Honey Malt
1# Brown Malt
0.25# Crystal 120

Other Sugars in primary
1# golden honey
0.5# golden raisin puree in wort

Hops
1oz Nugget (AA 13%) @ 60min
1oz Cascade (AA 6.4%) @ 30min
1oz Fuggle (AA 4.2%) @ 5min

Pitched with 1084 Irish Ale

Will add @ secondary
0.5# of golden raisin puree
vanilla bean pods
cinnamon stick
some nutmeg
some almond extract.
The amount of these last 4 ingredient really depend on the taste at racking...does it taste "cookie-ish"

I'll let you know how it turns out.
