I am finishing off my brew controller. Most of the output from the control box goes to Speakon connectors. I'm now making up the connecting cables.
Obviously I am putting Speakon connectors on the control box end of the cables, but I'm wondering about the OTHER end(s). Should I hard wire into the thermometer probes, pumps, solenoids and furnace valves? Or would I be better off connecting all of THOSE to a central connector box (to which the cables will then have an interface with)?
If I've got a bunch of hard wired cables - it'll save on the cost of a whole other round of connectors, but I'll have all that spaghetti attached to the brew bench to wind up and store all the time.
If I make a bench mounted connector box, it could be a lot neater, but more chance for circuit problems and more expense...
Any thoughts?
