Don't know where to post this...

Anybody have experience selling commercial soft drinks? What kind of permits, rules, etc? I can't seem to find anything. These would NOT have booze in them.

The reason I ask is that I may have thought of a niche market that I could make a line of sodas for. It seems like some breweries make sodas. Is there any special hoops to jump though??

Thanks, Jeffro

Your best bet is to talk to the folks in the state government that regulate the food industry. In Oregon, any commercial food/beverage has to be manufactured in a dedicated area that is inspected at least annually. And by dedicated, they mean a building not attached (sharing an internal door) to any living quarters.

Varies by state to state with very little Federal regulations as long as you aren't adding drugs other than caffeine, making health claims etc.

Hopefully you've got a better idea than pumpkin seeds.
