Thinking of a Oatmeal Stout with some "different" Malt additions..

40L Batch

- Pale Ale Malt 65%
- Biscuit Malt 10%
- Special B Malt 8%
- Flaked Oats 8%
- Chocolate Malt 6%
- Roasted Barley 3%

Fuggles and Willamette Hops
S-04 Yeast

I think that will make a great oatmeal stout. Mine is very similar on malt, but I'll do some Vienna, Munich, and honey malt with the biscuit and chocolate sometimes. S04 works great, as other British yeasts, Notty too. Let us know how it turns out.

I don't like Biscuit malt that much. I'd reduce it to around 3%. Same with Special B.

Looks like a lot of special B to me. I do 4oz max in 14-18lb grain batches. Did 8oz once and kind of overwhelming.

Otherwise looks solid to me.

Cant go wrong with willamette and fuggles.

Id reduce biscuit as mentioned above. Otherwise looks great.

Brewed last week. Still on fermentation... Lets see how it turns out. OG 1.056...
