Colloidal silver as a sanitizer?

May be a stupid question but I am asking anyway. What do you all think about using colloidal silver as a sanitizer? One tablespoon per gallon of water is what i was thinking.

Iodophor is a proven product and costs less. Star San is potentially better and costs even less (per gallon of mixed solution).

Cheaper? I dunno, if you make it yourself it's pretty darn cheap...

I've been wondering the same thing.... I make CS about a quart in 4 hours and get it up to about 18 PPM... It can't hurt- I dump some into my star/San spray bottle-
The stuff is amazing.

I don't think CS is a "no-rinse", it will kill yeast.

Sanitizers that are not no-rinse do not help much...... unless you have purified/R.O. water in bulk to rinse.
