I just kegged my very first two cornies. I vented the O2 out so each have a small amount of CO2.

Both are now quick chilling at 33 for 24 hours and tomorrow I'll start carbing them.

The question IS - does the temp of the CO2 make any difference? I know the CO2 will be in the kegorator but I'm just curious!

Nope, nothing to worry about, pressure is pressure. You will notice the high pressure gauge dropping due to the temperature, but that doesn't impact the regulated pressure.

Some regulators are also a bit sluggish at refrigeration temperatures, so don't make drastic changes to the pressure.

SO

if I want

2.2 vols of CO2
Beer temp will be 33 (because it's faster)
that means 5.8psi right?
HOWEVER - serving temp will be 40ish - forget 33 and chill to 40? which would be 9psi?
