I have a new to me co2 tank (exchange). I've had a keg carbonating in the corner for at least a week. Tonight I walk by it and I hear hissing. I get out the starsan and start spraying. It seems like it's coming from the tank's PRV...like the side that would come into play even if the valve is closed.
This has been sitting my 75 degree basement the whole time.
Ideas?

Hang on...isn't the PRV on the REGULATOR, not the actual tank itself? That would speak to the regulator having a leak, and exchanging the tank wouldn't help.

Yes, and that's what I was going with, as the intro implies he had a working system before this tank showed up.

For the record, the "PRV" on a cylinder valve is a "burst disk", and you don't want to be in the vicinity when one goes off.
If that's where the leak is, for sure that cylinder needs to go home...

Cheers!

I went and exchanged it. The leak was actually where the valve threaded into the tank.
