So just for ****s and giggles, I took a bottle to my sister's to crack open (only bottled for 5 days) to test and guage where the batch is at. It's got great color and head. And the flavor isn't bad at first. But some type of rubbing alcohol taste lingers after. Not sure what this is from or if it's normal, just wanted to get everyone's take. I'm going to let the remaining bottles condition for 2-3 more weeks (I may crack another in a week for another guager). Im mainly wondering if this lingering taste is an off-flavor from pitching so hot, or if it's from only being bottled for 5 days. I'm guessing the former. Is it possibly the starsan? Anyone have a similar experience?
