Cider with DME????

I am gonna experiment with brewing a 2.5 gallon batch of cider with 1lbs of amber DME pitched with an ale yeast dose anyone have any advice against this or why it would not workout i would love to hear any advice for or against this.

yeah but i didnt want to go to that extreme i dont really wanna hop it or anything just wanna try DME as a source of sugar over brown suger and what not
