Curious about sunlight and cider. My spare room/brew room gets a fair amount of sun. I usually cover beer as it brews to avoid skunkiness...should I cover my gallon batches of cider too?

I don't think sunlight will hurt cider. As far as I know the only reason it skunks beer is due to the reaction of sunlight with hop oils. Unless your cider is hopped, I don't think it will be an issue.

Is it any harder to cover them? While we do know hop oils will degrade and form skunk chemicals, and I don't think sunlight is said to affect cider a lot, theres still undocumented reactions that could still occur. Uv light and water does stuff on its own, for example.
