I'm really new to home brewing and I only started the hobby in June. I'v got some one gallon batches still conditioning that I have to try.
College is going to start soon and everyone I know likes cider (these people think IPA's are bitter and undrinkable: Budweiserfans). I am not working with a lot of space and I want to make something simple. I'm going to buy a 3 gallon carboy for cider.
Here is my idea:
I want to make a light sparkling cider.
3 Gallons Kirkland-brand 100% pasteurized apple juice.
Safale US-05 Ale Yeast. (any better suggestions?)
(no need for extra sugar since I don't want to increase the ABV or get a bottle bomb)
Primary 2 - 3 weeks
Bottle condition 2 weeks (I'm using NB sugar tablets)
Let sit in fridge for a few days then invite some friends and the ladies over
Will this work? Or will I need to add other things like nutrients and other additives?
Thanks for your advice!
