I have made a ton of starters but to date have not seen one of them with the chunkiness of this. Wyeast 1968 London ESB 2 liter starter. I have used this yeast in the past and don't recall this result. Also the yeast is the freshest I have ever used, mfg date 10/29/2014, so age is not a factor, unless it's youthfulness is the cause, which I doubt, and it smells fine. Anything to worry about here
 
Nope some yeast is chunky some yeast is dusty some is compact you know what im saying..no worries at all..in fact 1056 my house strain always seems chunky and some belgians i use are dusty
 
1968 is way "chunky". Look up "1968 starter" on YouTube and I bet they'll look just like yours.
