Christmas Ale Yeast WLP500 or WLP545

Wanting to do a Christmas Winter Warmer (like Mad Elf with cherries in secondary) and have never used either WLP500 or WLP545. What would you recommend using?

I made a Mad Elf inspired batch with WLP500 and now am a little worried that it has too much banana flavor from the yeast. I read in another thread that they use WLP530, the Westmalle strain, for Mad Elf but WLP530 might be a good option also.
