Christmas Ale/Lager?

I am going to brew a christmas ale soon. I made one last year that turned out nice, but this year wanted to maybe use a lager yeast instead of an ale yeast. My question is...if I lager will my spices still come through after 2 months of lagering or is there a way to add them at a later time? Thanks

Spices change as they age, but do not disappear. I find that the more "in-your-face" notes tend to fade, leaving a more subtle and less hash flavour. I actually prefer most of them on the older side.
