This is my first year attempting to grow hops, and surprisingly my Chinook plant actually has some buds on it. While I haven't harvested them yet and really don't have a great idea how much I will get, I am planning on using them for whirlpool only (without drying).
Problem is, with winter coming up (well, here in Texas it kind of is), I don't really want to do an IPA. So I have a two part question:
1. What other styles would wet hops be good in?
2. What kind of flavors can I expect from Chinook fresh hops?
I guess one option is making a "harvest" RIPA. I would like to use store bought Chinook to bitter and maybe a little bit of flavoring, but don't know if that would be a good combination.
