Anybody use one for brewing? I am looking for a replacement for my primary and backup temp probes, as they both crapped the bed recently. I would prefer to dangle my probe in the mash and wort during heat up, mashing, and cooling.

I would also use it for meat smoking and grilling.

I've seen the equivalent being used - at least long enough to snap a brew day picture.
Inevitably there will be sufficient fluid ingress along the braided jacket to fail the probe.
It's a ridiculously common failure mechanism.
You'd be better off finding a way to keep the probe away from the wort...

Cheers!

I have a couple and really like them alot, highly recommended!. They also sell a sous vide needle probe which is waterproof and I just throw it in the mash.
