Cartridge filter randall

Hey guys, my buddy just bought a Blichman Hop Rocket to the tune of $130 or so. I'm trying to do some in-line hopping, and was thinking of going the Randall route. I've read people used these cartridge filters. What all does this entail, is it as simple as filling this thing with leaf or whole hops?
