Any advise here? Just got a new one to replace my SS one. Is soap ok to clean? Do i use any sealant?

 why not just rinse it off and let it dry? If you want to seal it use butcher block oil / mineral oil.

I made mine outta maple... One treatment with butcher block oil after I made it and all I do now is rinse and air dry...

My paddle is made from poplar and I just rinse it off. I personally would not oil it. It's not worth it. As long as the handle is not going to give you slivers whats the point? Give it a light sand every once in awhile if you feel it's necessary. It's brewing equipment, not fine china. :D
